Big Brother Contestant Mikey Has Never Met His Real Parents
Blind Big Brother contestant Mikey Hughes has never met his real parents, it was revealed yesterday.
The 33-year-old was adopted when he was just four months old. He went to live with Grant and Mary Hughes on Valentine's Day and had a happy childhood growing up in Kilwinning, Ayrshire, Scotland.
A source reveals, "Mikey was adopted when he was just a baby and has never known life any other way.
"He has a great relationship with his parents and has always known he was adopted.
"His sister Jennifer was adopted as well, and the family are very close.
"But it's always been at the back of Mikey's mind, he's always wondered who his real parents are."
Radio producer Mikey is already the hot favorite to win Big Brother 9 -- and has amused viewers by admitting he has a fetish for fishnet stockings.
But his 59-year-old mom, Mary, was horrified when he talked about his kink live on national TV last night.
Mikey's aunt, Janet Robertson, told Scotland's Daily Record newspaper, "Mary is traumatized after what he said about fishnets.
"My brother, Michael's dad, says it's a load of nonsense.
"Mind you, he's always been a bit eccentric and will be very entertaining. Michael is such a character.
"We were shocked when we saw him on the telly - Grant sat in my house till 9pm last night and never told us a thing.
"It wasn't till I got a phone call later on to tell me Michael was on that I realized what was happening. Now we're telling everyone to vote for him."
Mikey lost his sight at 23 after surgery to reattach the retina in his right eye. He went blind in his left eye when he was seven, before doctors found he was suffering from a rare genetic condition known as Stickler's syndrome.

Briana Evigan has 'Bright' spot
Lands lead role in thriller directed by Carlos Brooks
"Step Up 2 the Streets' " Briana Evigan has landed the lead role in Sobini Films' tiger-run-amok thriller "Burning Bright."
Evigan will play a woman who wakes in the midst of a hurricane to find a tiger roaming through her home. With her stepfather nowhere to be found, she is forced to drag her autistic young brother through the house in a desperate attempt at survival.
Carlos Brooks will direct for producers Mark Amin and Cami Winikoff of Sobini and David Higgins ("Hard Candy") of Launchpad Prods. Higgins also wrote the story for "Burning," which begins shooting July 14 in Florida. Sobini Films has a first-look deal with Lionsgate, which is said to be unaware of the tiger story line.
Evigan, whose father Greg starred opposite a chimpanzee on the 1979-81 NBC series "BJ and the Bear," will next appear in the "Donnie Darko" sequel "S. Darko." She is repped by Original Artists and 59 Management.

We've been keeping you up to date with Glastonbury festival weather forecasts every day this week (beginning June 23), but we thought we'd try and cast a bit of influence on the climate ourselves to help ensure a flood-free festival.
Yesterday (June 23) we invited members of the Council of British Druids to Hyde Park in London to perform a sacred call to the Sun God Lugh in a bid to draw out the sunshine for Glastonbury.

Archdruid King Arthur Pendragon led the ceremony with a plea for good weather throughout the weekend, and amused a few park-goers to boot.
Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis was pleased with the efforts, saying, "We can promise this year's Glastonbury-goers the absolute time of their lives come rain or shine.
"However, I wouldn�t complain if, just for once, I was able to ditch the wellies. If the druids have helped us charm the sun into the sky over the festival weekend then they have my full backing!"

Washington (ANI): Madonna's younger brother, Christopher Ciccone, has written a book about his pop star sibling, which is set for release next month, publisher Simon & Schuster has announced. The 'Life With My Sister' is co-written by biographer Wendy Leigh and will hit shelves on July 15. "Ciccone's extraordinary memoir is based on his life and 47 years of growing up with and working with his sister—the most famous woman in the world," E! Online quoted the company, as saying. New York (ANI): Former British tabloid editor Piers Morgan, who played cupid between Sir Paul McCartney and Heather Mills, has confessed that he will always be sorry for introducing the ex-couple to each other. While speaking to Howard Stern on his Sirius radio show, the "America's Got Talent" judge said that he regrets introducing Mills to the ex-Beatle. "Paul asked who she was after seeing her give a speech. I introduced them. I'm not sure if Paul knew that she was missing a leg at the time," The New York Post quoted Morgan, as saying.
